Eva Longoria to Deliver Commencement Speech at Illinois College

Eva Longoria is heading back to college to deliver the commencement speech at Knox College.

The former Desperate Housewives star will address students at the Illinois university on 4 June (17).

Ms. Longoria’s professional and personal accomplishments reflect the values that liberal arts colleges like Knox hold dear – appreciation for the arts, critical thinking, resilience, the pursuit of lifelong learning, and a commitment to social justice and community service,” a statement from Knox College President Teresa Amott reads.

Longoria joins a list of notable speakers at the university, including former President Barack Obama, who was a senator at the time, former President Bill Clinton, actor Ed Helms, and comedian Stephen Colbert.

The 42-year-old holds a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and a master’s degree in Chicano Studies from California State University, Northridge.
