Eva Longoria is heading back to college to deliver the commencement speech at Knox College.
The former Desperate Housewives star will address students at the Illinois university on 4 June (17).
“Ms. Longoria’s professional and personal accomplishments reflect the values that liberal arts colleges like Knox hold dear – appreciation for the arts, critical thinking, resilience, the pursuit of lifelong learning, and a commitment to social justice and community service,” a statement from Knox College President Teresa Amott reads.
Longoria joins a list of notable speakers at the university, including former President Barack Obama, who was a senator at the time, former President Bill Clinton, actor Ed Helms, and comedian Stephen Colbert.
The 42-year-old holds a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and a master’s degree in Chicano Studies from California State University, Northridge.
