Friday Night Lights stage musical in the works

The producers behind the The Unauthorized O.C. Musical are developing a stageshow based on hit TV show Friday Night Lights.
The Unauthorized Friday Night Lights Musical, which will take place next year (16) in Los Angeles, will feature original songs.
Scott Porter, who starred as Jason Street in the TV series, has been cast as Coach Taylor, who was played by Kyle Chandler. It is unclear if any other former cast members will be appearing in the musical.
Friday Night Lights aired in the U.S. from 2006 to 2011 and starred Chandler and Connie Britton.
The Unauthorized O.C. Musical was staged in August (15), with original cast member Autumn Reeser, Australian pop star Betty Who, Pretty Little Liars actor Brendan Robinson, actor/singer Drew Seeley and Kelsey Grammer’s actress daughter Greer Grammer among the cast.
Former castmembers Rachel Bilson and Kelly Rowan and show creator Josh Schwartz were among the theatre fans who showed up to see the musical.
