Patriots quarterback Tom Brady cut short a radio interview on Monday (29Jan18) after blasting a station host for criticizing the couple’s five-year-old daughter.
Gisele’s husband joined WEEI’s Kirk & Callahan show for his weekly chat but simply wanted to blast the presenters’ colleague Alex Reimer for taking aim at his kid on another program.
Reimer was asked to comment on Tom and Gisele’s family for the documentary series Tom vs Time, and called Vivian “an annoying little pissant”.
On Monday, Brady addressed the remark, telling Kirk & Callahan, “I’ve tried to come on this show for many years and showed you guys a lot of respect. I’ve always tried and come on and do a good job for you guys. It’s very disappointing… My daughter, or any child, certainly don’t deserve that (sic).”
He then ended the chat, stating, “I really don’t have much to say this morning. Maybe I’ll speak with you guys some other time.”
Reimer’s comment could not have come at a worse time for the station as Brady, who will appear in the Super Bowl for the New England Patriots this coming weekend (04Feb18), is one of the most in-demand athletes at the moment.
Reports suggest the quarterback is now considering ending his weekly WEEI broadcasts.
