It sounds like there may soon be a wedding on The Real Housewives of Orange County. One of the show’s stars, Gretchen Rossi, is engaged to be married for the second time. Rossi popped the question this time around, asking her longtime boyfriend Slade Smiley to marry her — and this proposal will be aired on TV, Rossi’s rep confirms to Hollywood.com.
“They’re really happy about getting married,” a source tells People. “Gretchen always does everything out of the box, so no one is too surprised she was the one who proposed. She really wants kids with Slade, so that was a big motivator.”
After granting Smiley with a proposal, Rossi received a huge engagement ring. The Real Housewife is now rocking a four-carat yellow diamond, reportedly designed by Danny Arik of Newport Jewelers in Newport Beach, Calif.
This will be Smiley’s first marraige and Rossi’s second — and Rossi is more than excited to be marrying her love. “Spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically, [Slade and I] connect on every level,” she told People two years ago. “He supports me, loves me and is so unselfish. I just feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”
