Guided By Voices reunite with new lineup

Veteran indie rockers Guided By Voices are reuniting with a new line-up after nearly two years apart.
In 2014, the band announced it was splitting, but the hiatus won’t last for long as the members announced on Tuesday (09Feb16) that they will be back on stage and touring this summer (16).
A post on the group’s Twitter.com account reads: “And the new GBV live line-up is: Robert Pollard with Bobby Bare Jr. (guitar), Kevin March (drums), Nick Mitchell (guitar), Mark Shue (bass).”
They are scheduled to play at the Calgary, Canada music festival Sled Island, which takes place from 22 to 26 June (16).
According to Pitchfork, a new album is also in the works, but frontman and founder Pollard plays all the instruments on it.
Pollard originally formed Guided by Voices in 1983, and the group found success throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, before splitting in 2004. They came together in 2010 before announcing their latest split in 2014.
