Hailey Bieber: ‘I delete Instagram when I can’t handle what people are saying about me’

Hailey Bieber has confessed she sometimes has to remove herself from social media to avoid negative comments.
The model made the remarks during an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine at the launch of her new swimwear collection with surfer Kelia Moniz.
While the model expressed that she tries to ignore the majority of negative comments, she did reveal her drastic effort to avoid the scrutiny
“Sometimes I delete Instagram for a couple days at a time, which is really nice,” she admitted. “I’ve done that when I’ve felt like I really couldn’t handle what people were saying or it was like what I was looking at was unavoidable.”
The star went on to explain that, while it’s impossible to ignore the constant speculation about her much-publicised relationship with pop star Justin Bieber, she has trained herself to tune out most of her online critics.
“You still care to a certain extent. You really have to train your brain to be like, ‘Okay, why do I even care? I don’t know these people, they don’t know me, they’re not a part of my life or my relationship’,” the 22-year-old reflected. “People can just be mean, and I feel like if you don’t want it to get to you, then don’t read it and allow it to affect your soul.
“I’ve found that I got to a place where I don’t read the comments,” she concluded.
Hailey’s admission come days after People magazine reported that the couple has put their upcoming wedding on hold while Justin deals with his mental health struggles.
While the couple married in a small courthouse ceremony last year (18), a source told the publication that a bigger ceremony is “not their focus right now.”
