Actress Jaimie Alexander has been left black and blue after facing off with mixed martial arts fighter Ronda Rousey for her TV drama Blindspot.
The athlete-turned-actress, who appeared in The Expendables 3 and Furious 7, was recently cast in Blindspot as a woman jailed for transporting weapons across state lines.
Ronda shot her action scenes with the show’s star Jaimie in New York on Tuesday (07Mar17), and the Thor beauty admits she is really feeling the after-affects of battling the MMA tough girl.
“I got to have a cool fight scene with Ronda Rousey,” she told talk show Today on Wednesday (08Mar17). “I couldn’t feel my legs for most of it…!”
Joking about the intense shoot, she added, “I actually blacked out, I have no idea (what happened)! I was very sweaty.”
Despite having her fitness and fighting skills put to the ultimate test, Jaimie had blast going up against Ronda.
“Some of the punch combos and all that kinda good stuff was great (to do with Ronda),” she continued. “There was one point I had to grab her arm, and her bicep’s the size of my waist! It was so awesome.
She was incredible. I really enjoyed working with her.”
And Jaimie was in awe of Rousey’s physical strength and toughness.
“I’ve never seen a human being throw themselves so hard on the ground in my life. She is just a brick,” she gushed. “I was so in awe of her, and she’s so genuine, and kind, and generous. The whole crew loved her, she was just having such a good time, it was such a pleasure.”
The TV gig is Rousey’s latest acting role – the 30-year-old, who lost her latest UFC bout to Amanda Nunes in December (16), is also currently shooting the revamp of classic Patrick Swayze movie Road House.
