Jesse L. Martin resumes work on The Flash after injury

Jesse L. Martin has returned to the set of TV comic book series The Flash after taking medical leave from the series to recover from an injury.
The veteran, who plays Detective Joe West on the show, announced a hiatus in October (18), after it became clear he couldn’t perform at a high level with a nagging injury he picked up over the summer.
“Joe is definitely coming back,” showrunner Todd Helbing tells TV Guide. “We’ll explain sort of why Joe West was gone for as long as he was, and we’ll try not to put him into any more scenarios where he injures his back.”
