Jim Carrey accuses late ex of switching medical records to extort him

Jim Carrey has filed new legal documents in which he accuses his late ex of trying to extort him with claims he gave her herpes – and now he has proof.
Cathriona White claimed she became suicidal after the movie star gave her a sexually transmitted disease, but now Carrey and his lawyers claim they have proof she had herpes before she met the funnyman.
According to the documents, obtained by TMZ, Carrey has accused his dead ex-girlfriend of creating an elaborate extortion scheme with fake medical records.
The Yes Man star claims White, who committed suicide in 2015, presented a friend’s medical records as her own in a bid to prove she was clean before she met Carrey – and she contracted genital herpes while dating him.
The actor claims he and his legal team have text messages from White to her friend, asking her to get hold of her medical records. One of the texts reads: “I will need to work on it before I give it to him.”
The new documents have been filed in connection with a wrongful death lawsuit brought by White’s husband and mother, who claim Carrey gave her the disease and that’s why she killed herself.
Michael Avenatti, the attorney for Cathriona’s estate, tells TMZ Carrey’s latest claims are “complete and utter bulls**t”, adding, “When the truth comes out, Mr. Carrey and… his advisers are going to be criminally prosecuted for their conduct in this case. They better buckle up.”
