John Mellencamp lands new art exhibit in Ohio

Rocker John Mellencamp is heading back to Ohio as a painter for a new exhibition of his artworks.
Officials at the Butler Institute of American Art will stage the John Mellencamp: Expressionist exhibition for two months from 20 September (18), giving fans a look at his various portraits and mixed-media pieces, reports The Associated Press.
It won’t be the first time the Jack and Diane singer has had his art put on display at the Butler Institute – he previously had a collection of his paintings on show at the organisation’s branch in Trumbull, Ohio from 2013 to 2014.
Other celebrities who have enjoyed their own art exhibitions at the Butler Institute include Bob Dylan, Ronnie Wood, Tony Bennett, and the late Peter Falk.
