Jon Bernthal set for The Walking Dead return – report

Actor Jon Bernthal is reportedly returning to hit zombie drama The Walking Dead for its next season, even though his character was killed off years ago.
The Punisher star portrayed Shane Walsh for the first two seasons of the hit show, and made a brief ghostly appearance for an episode in season three.
Now it seems he is being brought back to life once more to make another return in season nine, although it’s not clear how his character will be incorporated into the current storyline.
Series producers at TV network AMC have declined to comment on the news, which emerges days after reports suggested leading man Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes, is planning to exit the show after the next season.
The Walking Dead is set to return to the small screen later this year (18).
