Jonathan Rhys Meyers “helped deliver” his son at his home last year (16).

The Tudors star’s partner Mara Lane gave birth to a son named Wolf on 15 December (16) and in a post on Instagram over the weekend (06-07May17), Mara opens up about the unique birth. She also reveals the baby was born with a piece of membrane covering his head – just like her.

“#HappyMidwifeDay I just wanted to take this day as an opportunity to thank our lovely remarkable team.. that helped deliver Wolf,” the post reads. “It was better than we could have ever hoped/prayed for and (I) am eternally thankful. Would not have had it any other way. #NaturalBirth #DelayedCordClamp… under 3 hours.”

Wolf was born in his caul sak (sic) (like his Mama was) so… we did not know I was in labor until half way through as water never broke,” the post continues. “Johnny was able to help deliver Wolf as he entered this world and it was the best day of our lives. He was so so awesome as I would have probably passed out if (I) could have seen what was happening. Angels were present in spiritual realm and earth angels with our amazing team. Thank you God & Birthing Instincts, #HappyMidWifeDay.”

In addition to praising her birthing team, Mara is also gushing about Jonathan’s parenting skills.
“J is thee best Father btw (by the way),” she writes in another post alongside a picture of the family.

“Ridiculously loving, super protective, patient and attentive. Wolf is basically snuggled, kissed, adored, sang to and entertained any free minute he has by his Papa. #LuckyMom.”
