Jude Law’s vintage car suffered damage when he reportedly rear-ended a taxi in London on Wednesday (22Mar17).
The Talented Mr. Ripley actor was driving his beloved silver convertible Mercedes-Benz SL380 on Drury Lane in the Covent Garden area of the British capital when he bumped into the back of a black taxi cab, causing the taxi’s rear bumper to come loose and his car’s bonnet to bend on impact.
It seems neither party were injured in the minor collision as pictures obtained by Britain’s The Sun newspaper show the actor on his cell phone besides his vehicle and appearing to exchange details with the other driver. He subsequently got back into the car and drove it to a nearby location.
The 44-year-old is currently rehearsing for his starring role in stage play Obsession, which opens at London’s Barbican on 19 April (17). In the production, he plays a drifter who meets a husband and wife in a roadside restaurant and he becomes attracted to the wife, leading to them plotting her husband’s murder.
