Julia Roberts has tried to play matchmaker for fellow actress Connie Britton.
The Dirty John star made an appearance on Busy Tonight on Wednesday night (09Jan19) and discussed how her pal Julia is keen to find her a boyfriend.
“I’ve gotten to be friends with Julia Roberts,” she smiled. “She tried to set me up with somebody… it hasn’t worked out yet. But at least mama tried, you know what I’m saying?”
Connie went on to share that she last caught up with Julia at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards earlier this week. Though she confessed that their friendship is a bit awkward because she is such a big fan of the Oscar winner’s work.
“She came up and she was like, ‘I love you,’ and I was like, ‘I’m never washing my face again,'” the 51-year-old recalled of Julia grabbing her face when they first met. “It’s not really a functional relationship. Like it’s not really, it’s not really a healthy friendship, it’s more like I idolise her and she’s nice to me.”
Elsewhere in the chat, Connie shared that she has a dream of meeting her ideal man on an aeroplane.
