Katherine Jackson Doesn’t Want to be Blanket’s Guardian Anymore

Katherine Jackson has filed legal papers to be removed as her grandson Blanket’s guardian.

Michael Jackson’s mother was appointed joint guardian of the late pop superstar’s three children in 2012. Katherine’s grandchildren Prince and Paris are old enough to look after themselves, but 15-year-old Blanket is still required to have a legal guardian by law.

The 87-year-old is now requesting to hand over full legal rights to her grandson T.J. Jackson, with whom she has shared guardianship for the past five years, due to her advancing age.

A judge has yet to sign off on her request, according to TMZ.
