Kelly Rowland was waiting for late mum’s birthday call

Kelly Rowland was nursing a broken heart on her recent birthday after realising she wouldn’t receive a phone call from her late mother.
The Dilemma hitmaker mourned the death of her mum, Doris, in December, 2014, and even though the star recently marked the fourth anniversary of her passing, Kelly reveals the loss momentarily slipped her mind as she turned 38 on 11 February (19) as she waited for their usual birthday chat.
She shared the sad memory on Instagram earlier this week (begs18Feb19), when Beyonce’s stylist pal Ty Hunter posted an image of an iPhone screen receiving a call from “Mom”.
The picture included the message: “For those of you that can still receive this call, don’t take it for granted. There are many of us that can never see this on their phones again! Answer it every chance you get! Tell her you love her! Even when she’s getting on your last nerve because you never know when it will be your last call!”
Commenting on the piece of advice, Kelly wrote, “AMEN Ty!!!
“I didn’t realize, on my birthday, I was waiting for Doris to call me, when I realized she wasn’t calling, it broke my heart!”
