Lance Armstrong sells Oprah interview home

Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong has taken another major hit – in the property market. The sportsman, who confessed to illegal doping in a candid TV interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year (13), has sold his sprawling Austin, Texas, estate for $6 million (£3.75 million) less than the original asking price.
The Austin American-Statesman reports that a local businessman has bought the place for $3.1 million (£1.9 million). Sales records suggest the home was originally listed at $10 million (£6.25 million).
A spokesman for Armstrong has confirmed the spread has been sold.
The cyclist, who was stripped of his seven Tour de France wins and banned from professional cycling for life last year (12), bought the house in 2004. He opened up to Oprah about his doping shame there.
