Latin jazz star Eddie Palmieri is releasing his first album in 11 years.
The 80-year-old will release Sabiduria in April (17). His last album, Simpatico, came out in 2006 and picked up a Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album.
The new record will feature guest appearances from saxophonist Ronnie Cuber, bassist Marcus Miller, and drummer Obed Calvaire.
Palmieri kicked off his tour last year in celebration of his 80th birthday in December (16). He will continue the trek until the end of the year (17).
