The actor, who played Richie in the cult martial arts movie, passed away on Wednesday (10Oct12), according to TMZ.com.
Details of his death were unavailable as WENN went to press, but an autopsy is scheduled to be carried out on Thursday (11Oct12).
Last year (11), O’Brien was treated in hospital after he was shot in the stomach and left arm in his native Harlem, New York.
