Lil Peep’s mum thrilled with rapper’s posthumous album

Tragic rapper Lil Peep’s mum has saluted the producers behind her son’s upcoming posthumous album, insisting it’s what he would have released had he survived an accidental overdose last year (17).
Liza Womack attended a listening party held in Manhattan on Thursday night (18Oct18), and told fans and label bosses she was very happy with the bittersweet Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 2.
“This is an important album because it’s the work of a creative, young, trailblazing artist,” she told party guests, according to Fader.
“This album is important also because Gus is dead. It’s important because Gus is dead, but this is the album he would’ve made if he were living… Gus cared deeply about his music, and he cared far more about the quality of his work than making it big.”
Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 2 will be released on 9 November (18), six days before the one-year anniversary of Lil Peep’s death.
