Lionel Richie is convinced his 19-year-old daughter Sofia’s romance with 34-year-old Scott Disick will be short-lived.
The model started dating Kourtney Kardashian’s ex, the father of the reality TV star’s three kids, earlier this year (17), and the pair appears to be smitten with each other.
Sofia went public with the romance in September (17), just days after she was spotted with Disick during a break in Miami, Florida, and she told E! News that her famous father is supportive of her new boyfriend.
“He’s (Lionel) good. He’s been very nice. He’s been very cool,” she said. “He’s very supportive.”
But Lionel, who stepped out with his daughter at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Patron of the Artists Awards in Beverly Hills earlier this month (Nov17), doesn’t think the romance will last.
“I’m scared to death about anybody dating anybody,” he tells Life & Style. “But, c’mon, she’s 19. She’s going to go take the turn and get through it and come out the other side… It will course itself.”
