Los Angeles police detectives investigating Harvey Weinstein rape allegations

Los Angeles Police Department officials are investigating disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein on allegations of rape.
The movie mogul, who has been stripped of his board role at The Weinstein Company following exposes of his sexual misconduct and harassment against countless women, is also being investigated by cops in New York and London following potential criminal complaints.
And now it’s the LAPD’s turn to focus on Weinstein, who is currently seeking sex addiction treatment at a rehab facility in Arizona.
“The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery Homicide Division has interviewed a potential sexual assault victim involving Harvey Weinstein which allegedly occurred in 2013,” LAPD Officer Sal Ramirez says. “The case is under investigation.”
Weinstein’s representative has restated her client has never engaged in non-consensual sex, insisting the producer “unequivocally denies” the allegations made against him.
Following top lawyer Lisa Bloom’s departure from Weinstein’s legal team earlier this month (Oct17), Weinstein has hired criminal attorney Blair Berk to defend him against rape and sexual assult charges.
Berk has previously represented Mel Gibson, Lindsay Lohan, and Britney Spears.
