Lost Beach Boys recording from 1967 unearthed for new box set

The Beach Boys have compiled a treasure trove of rarities and unreleased tracks as part of a new box set.
Many of the tracks on 1967 – Sunshine Tomorrow were recorded during and after the group’s landmark Pet Sounds sessions.
The songs, recorded between September and November, 1967, were shelved when the band abandoned the album Smile.
Sunshine Tomorrow also features the Beach Boys’ previously unreleased live album, Lei’d in Hawaii, which was recorded in August, 1967 in Honolulu and later scrapped due to poor sound quality.
The new box set will be released next month (Jun17).
