Mary J. Blige sued over scrapped Dallas concert

Soul icon Mary J. Blige has been hit with a lawsuit over a cancelled 2012 concert. The No More Drama hitmaker is accused of reneging on a deal to perform in Dallas, Texas on 9 December (13) just days before she was set to hit the stage.
Bosses at promotions company Vision Entertainment Worldwide claim Blige was paid a $145,000 (£93,500) deposit to secure the gig, but she never handed back the money when the show was axed.
The lawsuit also claims that the singer scrapped the gig to perform with the Rolling Stones at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on 8 December – the concert which kicked off the rockers’ 50th anniversary comeback trek in America.
The company is seeking at least $145,000 in damages.
