Man arrested for murder after death at Britain’s Bestival

Police officers have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after a death at British music event Bestival.
Police officers at the festival site on the Lulworth Estate in Dorset, England were alerted to concerns over the welfare of a 25-year-old woman in the early hours of Monday (11Sep17) morning.
The body of the missing woman was subsequently found in a wooded area near the site. According to police officials, a 28-year-old man, also from the British capital, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Derbyshire of Dorset Police told British newspaper The Guardian, “Following the discovery of the woman’s body we have now launched an investigation into her death.
“We have specially trained officers supporting her family at this very difficult time. Inquiries are now under way to establish how she died. A postmortem examination will be carried out in due course and this should give us more of an indication as to the cause of her death.
“We are working closely with the festival organisers and I would appeal to anyone with any information about the incident to contact Dorset police.”
Pet Shop Boys, The xx and A Tribe Called Quest were among the headliners at the four day music event, which ended on Sunday (10Sep17).
