Mel B’s ex opens up about alleged overdoses in legal papers

Melanie Brown’s custody battle is getting really nasty again – her ex-husband claims she’s a drug addicted alcoholic in a new lawsuit.
In legal papers obtained by TMZ, Stephen Belafonte alleges the Spice Girls star has walked into doors and blamed bruises and injuries on domestic abuse.
He also maintains she has been hospitalised after drug overdoses.
Belafonte’s latest accusations feature in documents supporting his bid to seek permission to visit his stepdaughter, Angel, whose biological father is movie star Eddie Murphy.
He claims Mel B has fabricated domestic violence stories in an effort to turn Angel against him, and details one alleged 2014 overdose, claiming his then-wife attempted to cover up the bruises from machines she was hooked up to in the hospital by falsely stating they were the result of abuse.
Belafonte alleges his ex walks into walls because she’s drunk in the middle of the day.
Mel previously filed documents urging the judge overseeing the couple’s ongoing legal squabble to dismiss her ex-husband’s request to see his stepdaughter, claiming he showed the kids videos of ISIS beheadings.
He insists this is a lie.
