Michael K. Williams sued by former manager

Actor Michael K. Williams is facing legal action from his former manager over allegations of unpaid fees.
Michael Kimbrew claims he befriended Williams back in 2004, when he was starring on acclaimed crime drama The Wire, and alleges he helped the actor dig himself out of financial trouble after the series ended in 2008.
According to TheBlast.com, the two pals entered into a partnership deal in 2010 with Williams’ production company, entitling Kimbrew to 20 per cent of the star’s earnings, but the 50-year-old now stands accused of reneging on the agreement.
Kimbrew also insists he was instrumental in securing Williams’ roles in films like the RoboCop remake, 12 Years a Slave, and The Purge: Anarchy, helping his earnings top $2.5 million (£1.85 million) in recent years.
However, Kimbrew has so far only collected $3,000 (£2,200) of the $450,000 (£332,800) he believes he should have received in compensation, and is now suing for the full amount, with interest.
Representatives for Williams have yet to comment on the lawsuit.
