Millie Bobby Brown Stranded in Bali After Volcano Eruption

Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown was left stranded in Bali after Mount Agung erupted.

The 13-year-old actress, who has become a household name globally thanks to her portrayal of Eleven in the Netflix show, told her fans on Instagram on Thursday (30Nov17) that her intended four-day break on the Indonesian island had turned into a 10-day vacation.

“Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that I have been in Bali after traveling through Australia,” she wrote. “I wasn’t able to return home after a four day break turned into 10 days due to the volcano.”
Mount Agung erupted four days ago, but a change in conditions allowed some airlines to stage evacuation flights. However, the ash cloud from the volcano then moved once again, meaning the majority of these rescue flights were cancelled.

Millie has been staying at luxury resort The Mulia Bali and appears to have made the most of her unintended vacation, sharing pictures of herself meditating and enjoying the sunshine.

“I would really love to thank all of the staff at the @themuliabali for taking such good care of us while having to extend our stay here; I cannot thank you enough!” she wrote.

“Also, to the Balinese people who are the sweetest, kindest and most humble people I’ve ever met. But most of all, my thoughts and prayers are with the people whose lives have been affected by this. I truly hope everyone there stays safe. Sending all my love to Bali. Until next time @virginaustralia.”

Another snap saw Millie beaming as she posed next to the staff of the resort.
