Prince Harry ‘put off’ having children by friends’ kids

British royal Prince Harry is in no rush to start a family.
The 31-year-old has made it his mission to work with underprivileged children to carry on the legacy of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, and among his charitable endeavours is his Sentebale kids’ organisation, which he set up in Lesotho, Africa over a decade ago.
The Prince makes frequent trips back to the African nation, and it’s during his visits that he is usually overcome with thoughts of parenthood.
“There have been moments through life, especially when we do a tour abroad, when I think, ‘I’d love to have kids now…’,” he confessed to People magazine.
However, Harry admits spending time with his friends’ young families often makes him realise he isn’t ready for children just yet.
“And then there are other times when I bury my head in the sand going, ‘All right, don’t need kids!’,” he smiled. “There’s no rush. I think… I tell you what: There’s been times I’ve been put off having children… I’ve got a couple of mates and being around their children just brings me back down.”
For now, Harry is revelling in his role as uncle to his brother Prince William’s two children with his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge – two-year-old nephew Prince George and niece Princess Charlotte, who turned one on Monday (02May16).
“Nobody wants to be boring,” he quipped of his reputation as the “fun uncle”.
Prince Harry has been keeping his love life low-key in recent months, but he was most recently linked to actress and Dior public relations assistant Juliette Labelle earlier this year (16).
He previously enjoyed a long-term romance with Chelsy Davy until 2010, and dated Cressida Bonas for two years from 2012.
