Ricky Martin: ‘I hope Dolce & Gabbana learn from baby row’

RICKY MARTIN hopes fashion designers DOLCE & GABBANA learn from their mistakes after they became embroiled in a high-profile row with SIR ELTON JOHN over IVF babies.
The openly-gay pop superstar, who has two sons born via surrogate, came out in support of fellow dad Sir Elton after he criticised the design duo, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, for labelling children born using in vitro fertilisation (IVF) “chemical offsprings” from a “rented uterus”.
Martin has now insisted he hopes Dolce and Gabbana will rethink their opinions now the row has blown over.
He tells Britain’s The Sun newspaper, “I wish them lots of enlightenment. Their voices are too powerful to be spreading so much hate. I hope they analyse a bit to work out what life really is about and what the future has for us. When people say, ‘Your children have no mothers’, my response is, ‘No, they have two’. Surrogacy is a beautiful process.”
