Rita Moreno and Quentin Tarantino to receive honourary AFI degrees

Rita Moreno and Quentin Tarantino have been chosen to receive honourary doctorate degrees from the American Film Institute.
The West Side Story star and the acclaimed filmmaker will be the 2016 recipients of honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts degrees from the top film school for their “contributions of distinction to the art of the moving image”.
Moreno and Tarantino will be presented with their degrees during the school’s commencement ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on 15 June (16).
Previous recipients include actors Dame Angela Lansbury, Clint Eastwood, Mel Brooks, and Dame Helen Mirren, and directors Kathryn Bigelow and Spike Lee.
