Rita Ora is constantly sent flirty messages from online admirers.
The singer has almost 6.8 million followers on Twitter and 13.7 million on Instagram, so as a result, an awful lot of her fans are keen to make contact with her.
In an interview with Nick Grimshaw on Radio 1 on Monday (06Aug18), Rita explained that even though she has a huge number of direct messages to work through daily, she often replies to a lucky select few.
“I get a few, I’m not going to lie and say I don’t sometimes entertain it,” the Girls hitmaker said. “But sometimes I completely ignore it and it’s a little rude, as I didn’t see that there’s a thing that says you’ve read the messages. So I’m reading the messages and it just says ‘read.'”
And when the radio presenter asked whether she was being messaged hourly, Rita laughed: “Is it bad to say yes? Not being full-headed. It’s not like (I) focus on it, but I do get a few…”
The 27-year-old also cheekily revealed she wasn’t wearing any knickers during the interview, adding that her lengthy tour – The Girls Tour, which culminates in Madrid, Spain in September – has left her running low on undergarments.
“I didn’t have any clean underwear… I’ve been on tour for ages, I just came back last night, and I had to put on a leotard as I don’t have any clean underwear!” Rita confessed.
In addition, the star divulged that her second studio album will hopefully be released in time for her 28th birthday, which she’ll celebrate on 26 November.
“I’m not supposed to say this, my label is probably going to kill me, but who cares!” she teased. “November time ideally, the month of my birthday.”
