Rolling Stone readers vote David Bowie’s Blackstar album of the year

Rolling Stone readers have voted David Bowie’s final release, Blackstar, the album of the year.
A day after the album picked up four Grammy Awards, readers of the music bible gave Blackstar the edge over Beyonce’s Lemonade, which was named editor’s pick for top release of 2016 last week (ends02Dec16). Blackstar was number two on that list.
The readers’ poll finds Metallica’s Hardwired… to Self Destruct at three, while Gwen Stefani’s This Is What the Truth Feels Like and Good Times by The Monkees round out the top five.
Radiohead’s A Moon Shaped Pool, The Rolling Stones’ Blue & Lonesome, and Iggy Pop’s Post Pop Depression feature in the top 10.
