Russell Crowe and Delta Goodrem Mock Dating Rumors

Russell Crowe and singer Delta Goodrem have poked fun at rumors suggesting they are dating.

The Gladiator actor took to Twitter on Thursday (30Nov17) to share a picture of Australian magazine New Idea sat on a store shelf, with the publication’s cover featuring a photo of himself and Delta with the words, “Together at Last! The Secret’s Out.”

He then poked fun at the speculation surrounding his love life, by tagging Terri Irwin, the widow of Australian conservationist Steve Irwin, and mentioning actress Sophia Forrest. He has denied romances with them in the past following speculation in magazines.

“Hey @DeltaGoodrem, anything we should talk about?” he wrote. “Want apologise to @TerriIrwin, Sophia Forrest, the unnamed Mexican companion and all my other Aust (Australian) Magazine lovers. Seems I’ve moved on.”

Australian singer/actress Delta continued the joke by referencing recent rumors she was dating her The Voice Australia co-star Seal.

“Oh you only just heard the news?! haha!! .. wait, wasn’t i married to my friend @seal or has that ended (sic)??” she wrote. “No, wait I’m having a baby on my own! Gosh i can’t keep up!! Either way love you Rusty! @russellcrowe!”

Terri also got in on the joke by writing, “Crikey, @russellcrowe. My magazine heart is broken… I can’t wait to see what we’re all up to next!”

Russell continued to blast the magazines for publishing false stories that the public believe, citing a time a fan thought he was going to get remarried, even though it is believed that he is still yet to divorce his first wife Danielle Spencer.

“Recently a woman shaking with Joy that i was to be remarried , when told i wasn’t ,her tears became those of embarrassment and shame. Regular, trusting, well meaning people read those magazines, and they are given no respect (sic),” he tweeted.

The Oscar-winning star married Danielle in 2003 and they separated in 2012. They share sons Charles, 13, and Tennyson, 11.
