Russell Crowe leads tributes to late actress Jessica Falkholt

Russell Crowe led tributes to former Home And Away actress Jessica Falkholt following her death on Wednesday (17Jan18).
The Australian actress passed away at St George Hospital in New South Wales, Australia on Wednesday, six days after her life support was turned off. The 29-year-old had been in critical condition at the facility since 26 December (17), when she was involved in a horror car crash that killed her parents and sister.
“On behalf of the family of Jessica Falkholt, St George Hospital has been asked to advise the media and the community of Jessica’s passing today at 10.20am,” a statement from the hospital read. “Jessica passed away from serious injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on 26 December, 2017. The family has asked for privacy during this very difficult time.”
Following the news, Gladiator star Russell took to Twitter to pay tribute, writing, “RIP Jessica Falkholt and family. Such a senseless waste of life.”
Home and Away actress Pia Miller posted a picture of Jessica on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “farewell wonderful Jess,” with a love heart emoji, while co-star James Stewart reworked a line from William Shakespeare’s Hamlet in his message, which read, “Now cracks a noble heart.-Good night, sweet Jess, And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!”
Their fellow Home and Away star Jackson Heywood added, “Jess. You and your beautiful soul will be so deeply missed, but always remembered. Be with your family now. Goodbye you wonderful person. Love always, Jackson. May we send all support to her family and closest friends who are hurting the most. Thankyou.”
Jessica’s mother and father Vivian and Lars were killed instantly in the crash while her sister Annabelle died in hospital three days later. The other driver Craig Whitall, who was a serial traffic offender, was also killed in the collision.
