Sam Smith strips to his trunks for cheeky ‘Hot girl summer’ snap

Sam Smith stripped to his trunks on Sunday (18Aug19) for a cheeky snap to mark his own “Hot girl summer”.
The Stay with Me singer displayed his body confidence as he posed in a pair of neon swimwear, raising his arm to protect his face from the glaring sun, with a straw hat perched upon his head.
Smith captioned the picture on Instagram by writing “Hot girl summer” – a reference to Megan Thee Stallion’s phrase which she has described as “just being you, just having fun. It’s turning up, driving the boat and not giving a damn about what nobody’s saying.”
Following the British singer’s post, Smith was inundated with messages from his famous friends and peers, with DJ Zedd writing: “I nominate this for: picture of the year.”
Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness commented “Its not your fault you slay all day baby!!” while America’s Next Top Model star J. Alexander writing: “Okay B**ch you killing your Black sister right now with these lady sam Top Model moments i Cant…! Pose B**ch Pose.”
Smith has previously spoken about his battle with his weight and body confidence, writing on Instagram back in April that he has “always hated being naked”. Despite that, he decided to have a naked day and added to his fans: “It has been so empowering and wonderful and f**king FUN. I think everyone should have a naked day once in a while and celebrate that beautiful human body of yours.”
