Model and pop singer Samantha Fox has always been a “frustrated rock star” – and has called for Guns N’ Roses guitarist SLASH to help her scratch the itch.
The 53-year-old, who was a friend of late Motorhead frontman Lemmy, told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper she wants to honour her favourite rock musicians with her upcoming return to music.
“I want to record a rock covers album with songs by Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard and I want to record it with Slash,” she shared, adding, “I’ve always been, in a way, a frustrated rock star.”
She went on to highlight her previous affiliations with the genre, adding: “I covered (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones. That was a very pop version, but when I sing it live I make it a rock version.”
Samantha scored a string of hits in the late 1980s, including the U.K. and U.S. top five single Touch Me (I Want Your Body).
