Sheridan Smith handed OBE by Prince William

British actress SHERIDAN SMITH was feted with an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) medal by PRINCE WILLIAM at a ceremony in Buckingham Palace on Thursday (21May15).
The Quartet star was given the OBE by the U.K. royal in recognition of her services to drama, and she took the opportunity to compliment the prince on his family, including his new daughter Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, who was born earlier this month (May15).
Speaking after the ceremony, the actress says, “He said he’d seen some of my work, which is amazing. And I congratulated him on his wonderful children. He shook my hand and I was shaking – it’s a bit of a blur. It was a huge honour and I will absolutely treasure this. I just do my acting, it’s what I love doing. I never expected to get an OBE so this is absolutely indescribable.”
