Simon Cowell Rushed to Hospital After Fall at Home

Simon Cowell was reportedly rushed to hospital on Friday morning (27Oct17) after falling down the stairs at his home.

The X Factor judge reportedly fainted as he was walking down the stairs at his London home, and the emergency services were called at around 8am Friday morning, according to The Sun Online.

Simon was later seen being stretchered out of his mansion wearing a neck brace, and he is reportedly still in hospital undergoing tests. He is said to be in a stable condition.

“It’s been a scary morning. It was very early and Simon was going down his stairs to get some hot milk because he couldn’t sleep,” a source told the website. “He fainted and is thought to have fallen down the stairs.

“An ambulance was called and he was stretchered out of the house in a neck brace surrounded by worried aides.”

It is not known if his girlfriend Lauren Silverman and their three-year-old son Eric were at the home at the time of the incident.

The 58-year-old’s fall could possibly affect The X Factor live shows, which kick off on Saturday, as it is unclear if he will be well enough to sit on the judging panel alongside Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger, and Louis Walsh.

This year, Simon is the mentor for the groups and he picked acts Rak-Su, The Cutkelvins, and Sean & Conor Price to go through, while the public picked Jack and Joel as their wildcard.

The live shows have been given a revamp this year, and the judges will no longer get to vote for who goes home from the competition, as this will now be solely based on the public vote.
