Steve Carell has joined Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon for their new morning show drama series.
The actor will take the male lead role opposite the actresses in the untitled Apple project, which will mark his first return to the small screen since he starred in The Office.
Written by Kerry Ehrin and directed by Mimi Leder, the series will chronicle the lives of the people behind the cameras of a breakfast show.
Carell has been cast as ageing news anchor Mitch Kessler.
