Steven Seagal meets the president of Belarus

Action man Steven Seagal spent the day with the controversial president of Belarus on Wednesday (24Aug16).
The Under Siege star has become a regular in Eastern Europe in recent years, socialising with the likes of Russian leader Vladimir Putin and even gaining citizenship in Serbia.
He continued to garner favour among top local politicians as he visited Belarus this week, when he was welcomed into the official residence of President Alexander Lukashenko, who is considered by many to be Europe’s last dictator, according to The Associated Press.
Seagal joined Lukashenko, who had admitted TV cameras to capture the meeting, in his garden, and was shown the best crops of the harvest, including watermelons and carrots, which the actor happily chomped on.
It’s not the first time Lukashenko has hosted a celebrity in his home near Minsk – French actor Gerard Depardieu was his guest for the harvest meal last year (15).
