Teresa Palmer is still keen to play Batman villain

Actress Teresa Palmer is actively campaigning for Ben Affleck to cast her as DC Comics villain Talia al Ghul in his planned Batman movie.
The Australian star had originally been tapped to tackle the part in George Miller’s Justice League: Mortal project in 2009, but the film, which was to feature Armie Hammer as the Caped Crusader, was scrapped.
Affleck has since made his debut as Bruce Wayne and his superhero alter ego in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice earlier this year (16), and he’ll reprise the role for director Zack Snyder’s new Justice League movie.
The 44-year-old is also working on a stand-alone Batman film, which he is co-writing and planning to direct, and although he is not believed to be including anything about Talia al Ghul and her father Ra’s in his storyline, Palmer is hoping he will reconsider.
“I was going to be her,” she told ScreenRant. “If there’s ever an opportunity (again) I would absolutely love it. Put it out there. Can you put it out there for me? Can you make it a thing? I’m doing it.”
The character of Talia was previously brought to life by Marion Cotillard in The Dark Knight Rises, the final film in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy, which starred Christian Bale as Batman.
