Terry Gilliam hates people watching his films on iPhones

Filmmaker Terry Gilliam freaks out every time he sees a fan watching one of his movies on an Iphone.
The former Monty Python star is happy to move with technology to a point, but he believes films are supposed to be seen on the big screen.
“When I see someone watching my film on an iPhone, that’s when the guns come out and I want to legitimately kill people,” he rages. “It’s disgraceful. The audience is small and the story is big… iPhones, the story is tiny but the viewer is a giant. F**k off! They’re not getting the experience and the communal experience.
“I love sitting at home and watching the awards screeners but it’s so much nicer seeing the crowd of people. If you go out to dinner after seeing one of my films you know you’re going to have a wonderful conversation as you fight over who was right and who was wrong.”
