Tom Hanks takes on Sully again for Saturday Night Live sketch

Tom Hanks reprised his role as hero pilot Chesley Sullenberger for a comedy skit on Saturday Night Live at the weekend (22Oct16).
As Sully, Hanks suffered a blow to his ego after he was informed he’d have to give up his captain’s chair to a fellow pilot, played by Alec Baldwin.
The character checked with an airport official, who informed him, “You haven’t flown for awhile, you will be assisting today.”
Disgruntled Sully kept interrupting the captain’s announcements to the passengers, stating, “I’m Sully, hero of the Hudson!” He added, “Brace for impact – just kidding.”
He then spent the flight boring Baldwin’s character with his heroics, asking him, “Have you seen Sully? It’s about me!”
And there was another blow to Sully’s ego, when a young passenger entered the cockpit to meet his hero – and heaped praised on Baldwin’s war veteran character.
Hanks, as the hero pilot, told the impressed youngster, played by comedian Kyle Mooney, “I’m Sully… Oh, I see, he was in the Army. Quick, somebody get this guy on (U.S. chat show host Jimmy) Kimmel (show).”
The character then distracted Baldwin’s captain and steered the plane into a quick dive, before announcing to passengers, “Sully saved everyone! Yep, Sully did it again… We are heading for the Hudson…”
In Clint Eastwood’s movie Sully, the Oscar winner portrayed the pilot who performed the Miracle on the Hudson landing in 2009, gliding his damaged plane along Hudson River in New York and saving the flight’s 155 crew and passengers.
