Tyrese Gibson files to trademark clothing line venture

Actor and singer Tyrese Gibson is getting serious about launching his own clothing and fragrance line after filing documents to trademark the venture.
The Fast & Furious star announced plans for a collection via Twitter back in 2016, asking fans and followers to help him find “someone who has their marketing, distribution channels and creative team in place”, but nothing came of his plans.
Now, he’s keen to get the initiative off the ground and his Voltron Entertainment Company has filed legal papers to trademark Millionheir for a new line.
According to TMZ sources, Tyrese already had a font and style in mind for his logo back in 2016, and he plans to use the brand for all sorts of clothing. He also applied to trademark Millionheir in 2015, for aftershave and colognes.
The new venture caps a difficult few months for Tyrese, who waged war in court with his ex-wife Norma over custody of their daughter at the end of last year (17).
The former couple was ordered to enrol in “high conflict parenting classes” and Tyrese was told to attend therapy sessions in order to keep joint custody of 10-year-old Shayla.
The actor was awarded 50/50 custody of their daughter in mid-November, after agreeing to a series of conditions laid out by the judge overseeing the case.
Tyrese was told to enrol in classes focused on appropriate ways to discipline a child, according to TMZ.com.
The 39-year-old initially lost custody of Shayla after Norma accused him of being physically violent to her and their daughter. She sought a permanent restraining order banning him from contacting either of them, but the request was turned down.
