U2 has landed their eighth number one album on the Billboard 200 chart with Songs Of Experience.
The band sold 186,000 equivalent album units to top the chart. The album’s debut week sales are the biggest for a rock group in 2017. Metallica’s Hardwired… To Self-Destruct topped the chart in December, 2016.
Meanwhile, Chris Stapleton’s From a Room: Volume 2 follows in second place, while Taylor Swift’s Reputation comes in third.
Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (Divide) and Pentatonix’s A Pentatonix Christmas round out the top five, respectively.
