Dresden Dolls to play reunion shows

Cabaret duo Dresden Dolls are taking the stage once again for a series of reunion concerts in the U.S.
Amanda Palmer and Brian Viglione announced a hiatus in 2008, but this summer (16), they are coming together for a special show in their native Boston, Massachusetts on 26 August (16) and another in New York’s Coney Island on 27 August (16).
Since the hiatus began eight years ago, the duo has only played a few gigs, including a show on Record Store Day last year (15). The appearance marked the release of their compilation album, The Virginia Monologues, which was limited to just 9,000 copies.
Meanwhile, both musicians have been busy with their own careers – Viglione joined the Violent Femmes in 2013, and Palmer embarked on a solo career. She also welcomed a son, Anthony, with writer husband Neil Gaiman in September (15).
