Film about birthday boy Glen Campbell up for Peabody Award

The heartbreaking documentary about country music legend Glen Campbell’s battle with Alzheimer’s disease has been shortlisted for a coveted Peabody Award.
Director James Keach’s Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me has been selected as one of 60 finalists for the award.
The film featured Campbell on his farewell tour, as the singer fought memory-loss and other health issues.
He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2011.
A documentary about Nina Simone, titled What Happened, Miss Simone?, is also one of the films selected.
The winners of the Peabody’s documentary and educational categories, which honour excellence in radio and television, will be revealed on Tuesday (26Apr16).
Campbell, who is now battling the latter stages of the memory-robbing disease, turns 80 on Friday (22Apr16).
