Victoria & Abdul stars stun tourists during Osborne House prank

Eddie Izzard and Dame Judi Dench pranked tourists while filming new movie Victoria & Abdul at the former Queen of England’s retreat on the Isle of Wight.
The comedian, who portrays the Prince of Wales in the film, thought it would be a lark to mingle with visitors to Osborne House in costume, and he persuaded Dench, who stars as Queen Victoria, and their co-star Ali Fazal, who plays royal attendant Abdul Karim, to join him.
“Eddie took us in,” Ali recalls. “It was hilarious because they (visitors) were all looking at things, like the peacock throne… and suddenly they turn around and see Queen Victoria – and Abdul.”
Izzard quickly realised the joke had gone too far when the tourists started getting out their cameras, wagging his finger at anyone he saw trying to sneak a snap.
