Roundabout Theater Company founder Gene Feist dead at 91

Roundabout Theater Company founder Gene Feist has died at the age of 91. The playwright passed away from complications of pneumonia in Englewood, New Jersey on Monday (24Mar14), according to the New York Times.
Feist began his career as a playwright and director for off-Broadway plays in the 1950s.
In 1965, he founded the nonprofit New York theatre company with his actress wife Irma ‘Kathe’ Feist, stage name Elizabeth Owens, and hosted productions including Uncle Vanya (1971), The Father (1966) and Cabaret (1998).
Kathe Feist lost her battle with breast cancer in 2005.
